AE President receives condolences of Khalifa Haftar
ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – May 21, 2022: Field Marshal Khalifa Belqasim Haftar, Commander of the Libyan National Army (LNA) (L), offer condolences to HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi (R), on the passing of the late HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, received condolences on the passing of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, from Field Marshal Khalifa Belqasim Haftar, Commander of the Libyan Armed Forces.
This came during a meeting at Qasr Al Shati’ Palace today where Haftar congratulated His Highness Sheikh Mohamed on his election as the President of the UAE, wishing him continuing success in leading the country on its development path.
Sheikh Mohamed thanked Haftar for the feelings of solidarity he expressed towards the UAE and its people, wishing Libya and its people more peace, development and stability.
The meeting was attended by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, and Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President, and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary-General of the Supreme National Security Council.
