It was within the solemn setting of the Dubai World Trade Centre that one of the most anticipated distinctions of the Indo-Arab diplomatic and professional calendar was awarded last night: the title of “Top Indo-Arab International Lawyer of the Year”, bestowed upon international lawyer and strategist Romain Gerardin-Fresse.

The ceremony, held under the banner of institutional rapprochement between India and the United Arab Emirates, brought together an assembly of leading personalities from the political, diplomatic, and economic spheres.

An institutional tribune of the highest order

The honor of presenting this distinction fell to His Highness Sheikh Sultan Bin Khalid Mohammed Al Qasimi, a distinguished member of the ruling family of Sharjah, alongside His Excellency Athawale Ramdas Bandu, Minister of State in India’s Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Their joint presence symbolized the bilateral significance of the event, at the crossroads of Emirati and Indian ambitions.

The ceremony was further distinguished by the participation of Dr. Omar Al Marzooqi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Major of Dubai Police. Also in attendance were His Excellency Dr. Mohammed S. Al Kindy, former Minister of Environment and Water of the United Arab Emirates, as well as His Excellency Yaoob Al Ali, Chief of Cabinet to His Highness Sheikh Juma bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, figures embodying the moral and political authority that framed the evening.

International recognition

In honoring Romain Gerardin-Fresse, the organizers sought to celebrate a singular career at the intersection of international law, economic diplomacy, and transnational governance. His growing role in the United Arab Emirates, where he advises investors, institutions, and governments, found in this award a resounding recognition.

“This accolade goes beyond personal achievement. It reflects the trust placed in the law’s ability to serve as a bridge between nations,” declared Romain Gerardin-Fresse at the close of the ceremony.

The Dubai World Trade Centre: an arena of influential diplomacy

The choice of the Dubai World Trade Centre as the venue was anything but incidental. For several years, the institution has established itself as a strategic crossroads where economic alliances are forged and diplomatic dialogues are nurtured. The presence of senior government officials and business elites reinforced the exclusive character of the evening, which now stands among the symbolic milestones of the Indo-Arab partnership.
